New Year, Same Me.

In another three days everyone around the world will be either well underway into bringing on 2016 or getting ready to party like its 1999. New Years Eve is that one night a year where you can forget everything that has happened during the last 365 days and look forward to the endless possibilities the next year holds for you whether personally, romantically or professionally.

One way to ensure that you start the new year with a bang, besides fireworks or that elusive midnight kiss, is to dress to impress. This is the one night you can wear whatever you want without fear of judgement. Breakout the glitter, bright colours and sequins because it's time to shine! Try makeup that you wouldn't normally, wear things you have always wanted but have never had the guts or just wear your ultimate party outfit that has been sitting in your wardrobe all year! New Years Eve is the time to be adventurous while partying with both strangers and those who mean the most.

Here are some outfits I have styled for the big night.

On Trend: Metallic looks, velvet and embroidery.
This year let Topshop help you celebrate the year that has been and bring in 2016 in style. Both the amazing Star Velvet and Gold Beaded Embellished Bralets above are completely backless and look stunning on, while the metallic skirts feel brilliantly smooth on the skin and are perfect for those who enjoy spinning around the dance floor! If you are someone who prefers a more body hugging mini, the Brunswick Velvet Cut-Out Dress is perfect for you. Finish off your look with some playful stilettos, a clutch and dance till you drop.

On Trend: Silk, sets and patterns.
This amazing set is a Zimmerman creation made for those who love to incorporate the lines and colours inspired by beautiful cultures into their outfit rotation. The delicate silk bodice and pencil skirt is perfect for city parties that move from day to night where the bubbles and flowing and fireworks are exploding above. Add simple and nude accessories to ensure that the outfit remains the statement piece.

On Trend: White trousers and halter tops.
For those reminiscent of the disco days, this ones for you. Pair a simple white trouser with a low cut halter top and you are ready to boogie into the new year. Add a white stiletto and clutch to complete the outfit in a sophisticated way unknown to the 70's.

On Trend: Knit, maxis and gold
You can never go wrong with a black body hugging, curve emphasising maxi dress (the one pictured above is from witchery) a simple pair of black stilettos and gold jewellery. Complete the look with a smokey eye and a killer red lip for the show stopping effect.
